We have a very fun weekend ahead of us, we have a corporate show for SABC on Friday. If you haven’t gotten your tickets yet for Rhythmic Fire Belly Dance Spectacular (see last post) you can get them online from computicket HERE.
On Sunday, we’ll be participating in Ahmed Kathrada Foundation’s Youth Festival taking place in Lenasia. Members of the public will be treated to a movie, drama, dance and poetry workshops, sports festivals, music bash, cultural art and talent show and leadership syposium.
Interesting note: Ahmed Kathrada was outspoken against racism and spent over 26 years in prison, 18 of which were on Robben Island. During his time there he obtained four degrees and became Mandela’s Parlimentary Counsellor in 1994. He’s authored 3 books.
